This is my first time reading your bl...Hello Susan<br /><br />This is my first time reading your blog during a quiet moment before my next class. I can say that even though I am not a vocalist, but a cellist, all that you have said can apply to instrumetalists as well. After years of trying to get a symphony orchestra job I discovered, quite by chance, that I am better suited to solo and chamber work. For a kid who didn't begin cello until the age of 14, and felt that it was her only way of having a musical career, this was quite a shock, but a good one. It's so true that you must find your own voice and choose your own path. There is no other way to realize what you really have inside. No one can do it for you.<br /><br />Thanks for your wisdom.
